Dan Farr is the visionary founder of FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention, one of the most successful pop culture conventions in the country. With a passion for bringing people together around shared interests in comics, movies, TV shows, and pop culture, Dan launched FanX in 2013, quickly growing it into a must-attend event for fans and creators alike. Under his leadership, FanX has drawn hundreds of thousands of attendees annually, featuring world-class celebrity guests, artist panels, and a vibrant community of enthusiasts. Dan’s innovative approach has made Salt Lake City a premier destination for pop culture fans and helped bolster the local economy.

Before founding FanX, Dan was a seasoned entrepreneur with a background in 3D graphics and animation software. As co-founder of DAZ 3D, a leader in the 3D industry, he played a key role in developing software used by creators and designers worldwide. Dan’s entrepreneurial spirit, combined with his dedication to fan communities, has earned him a reputation as a creative leader who brings people together through his love of storytelling and entertainment.

With an incredibly talented singer for a daughter, Dan has first-hand knowledge of the transformational power of music performance training for youth.
