CHAIRMAN

Gary B. Wood, Ph.D., is the founder and Managing Director of Concorde Companies, with over 40 years of experience in asset management, venture capital, and business valuation. He leads the firm’s Investment Policy Committees, overseeing global investment activities across the U.S., North America, Asia, Europe, and Latin America. Prior to establishing Concorde, Dr. Wood was an investment and financial advisor for an independent trust company in Houston, managing high-net-worth client portfolios. He later founded International Hospital Corporation, expanding healthcare facilities across Latin America, and has broad expertise in healthcare, software, manufacturing, and investment management.

Dr. Wood is actively involved in various civic and charitable organizations in Dallas, including serving on the Endowment Foundation Investment Committee and Advisory Board for the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas. He has held leadership roles in multiple organizations, including serving on the board of the Parkland Health and Hospital System and chairing the Society of International Business Fellows. A sixth-generation Texan, Dr. Wood holds advanced degrees in electrical engineering and an interdisciplinary Ph.D. from Texas Tech University. He and his wife, Sheryl, have four children and six grandchildren.
