Mike is an entertainment lawyer who handles complex deals and disputes across the entertainment industry, including film, television, music, publishing, sports, and media.
As head of Parr Brown’s Entertainment Law group, he represents a wide range of clients, from emerging artists to household names, offering legal counsel in areas such as contract, intellectual property, and employment law. Mike has extensive experience navigating entertainment law, working on major-label record deals, hit TV shows, best-selling novels, award-winning films, and high-stakes litigation.
A founder of the Entertainment Law section of the Utah State Bar, Mike also teaches "Arts, Sports, and Entertainment Law" at the University of Utah College of Law and regularly speaks on media and entertainment issues. Prior to his legal career, he toured as a rock musician, managed political campaigns, and volunteered for civil rights causes. Mike holds a J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he earned multiple honors, and an LL.M. from King’s College London with distinction. He founded a record label in 2013, with its first release reaching #1 on Billboard.
